Technically the email we use today, is very much like a post-card and one without an envelope!!!
It not only shows the meta-data for the content being transited, but also the content it self.
As we are entering the next phase of development for the Internet. I feel it is imperative that we all must adapt to the change.
PGP was an encryption technology available since the beginning of Internet, but using it was tedious to say the least and so could only be rolled out in a controlled environment.
ProtonMail is a Swiss company where engineers and scientists working at CERN in Switzerland conceived how to integrate PGP based functions in a convenient usability system like we are all accustomed to by now with Gmail.
They have come up with this product that I beta tested to see how it goes.
Using ProtonMail, you can send an email that will be viewable for a given time only like Snapchat, also when a proton to proton user uses it, they get total privacy as well.
I sincerely love the product and plan to switch over to it over a period of 1 to 2 years. It really is worth it, and best if you pay 🙂
